Giving

Why is giving to St Mary's so important?

We give out of gratitude to God and as part of our worship. We give as an expression of our commitment to Christ and to encourage others to join us. We give in order to serve the community both in Eversley and beyond.

The work of St Mary's Church is supported entirely by personal giving (no money is received from the government or the diocese). We are hugely grateful to the many individuals who so generously give their time and money to enable the church to continue to grow.

How can I give to St Mary's?

We encourage our members to give proportionally and regularly.

  1. Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) or Monthly direct debit

Most members of St Mary's give by PGS. It gives the church a regular income and we get back any tax you have paid in just 10 days.

  2. Legacies

Thinking about life after death should not be difficult for Christians! So why not leave part of your estate to the church? We promise we will try to use your gift to make a difference in an area of church life which was of interest to you (eg children, buildings, music).

  3. Growing our buildings appeal

It is an exciting time at St Mary's as more and more people of all ages are worshipping with us. So we have decided to improve our hall to provide 4 spaces for the children's groups and the choir. This is all going to cost about £300,000 and it would be wonderful if you are able to support this appeal.

Each one should give, then, as he has decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty, for God loves the one who gives gladly. And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.
