St Mary's Church Bell Ringers joined with many others up and down the country for the Olympic Ringing on Friday, 27th July, 2012.
The ringing started with our own Bell Ringers at 8.12am.
No one else came until 9.30am when 5 people from St Michael's Church, Basingstoke came along as well as about 10 locals who were not bell ringers, including 6 children. They chimed for 10 minutes and then we rang up some plain bob minor before giving the adults a go at back strokes, followed by tea and cake.
So after a slow start, it ended really well!
